Traps larger dirt particles in the suction area and prevents the filter media in the canister from becoming contaminated too quickly.

By using this easy to clean prefilter, the water is sucked in from the aquarium bottom, while the coarser dirt particles are trapped even before reaching the filter.

This significantly extends the biological decomposition process and the length of time between cleaning intervals.

To be used instead of suction pipe.
